For the vast majority of characters and
names appearing in my novels, I've selected suitable names with
care. This is a task made far easier because of the internet and
its resources. This page allows you to navigate to the family
pages, which gives background information on the families and the
meanings of their
names in parentheses. Parents are noted in bold lettering.
I've created these portraits in Poser Pro, using either the James and
Jessica figures from Poser 6, or the updated DAZ Millennium 4 Michael
and Victoria. You should be able to tell the difference
immediately, as the newer figures are approaching photorealistic.
Some of these characters were created by Laura
Haskell and are unique to my collection. I've been asked whether
I create the characters in
Poser before writing, or whether I write about the character, then
create them in Poser. Usually, it's the latter, but occasionally
I'll come up with a render first, in order to describe a different
character, or creature.
