This is my original, hand-drawn map.  The continent is roughly the same size as North America, measuring 3 318 miles east to west, and 2 534 miles north to south.  Because its mountains serve as effective barriers to east-west contact, trade and conflict tends to occur along a north-south axis.  This also results in a rather uneven societal development, because agricultural production in southern areas far outpaces that of nations further north.  Hence, the really powerful nations on this continental landmass lie south of a line that extends from the Bay of Kameron in the west, to the city state of Halidan in the east.  The mountainous far north is sparsely populated.  A nation of purebred Lithians occupies the large valley at the headwaters of the Menthill River.
